Global Health Teaching Fellowship

The new Centre for Global Health Education was opened in May 2010 and is part of the King’s Health Partners Education Academy. The Centre coordinates all Global Health Education activities across the Health and Non-Health Schools for King’s College London and King’s Health Partners. It also hosts a ‘THET-Partnerships in Global Health’ team (www.thet.org) as well as providing an institutional base for Alma Mata and Medsin - two national networks in Global Health. Through these partnerships, educational activities take place at a local, national and international level.

This post has been created to facilitate the development of a new global health intercalated BSc as well as providing support for core teaching and SSCs in global health and the development of new SSCs as well as a Diploma in global health. The post-holder will liaise with other staff within the Centre including the King’s College Hospital International Development Unit staff and members of the national networks of Medsin and Alma Mata. In addition, the post-holder will network with members of the THET team who support the work in Somaliland. The post-holder is accountable to the Centre Director, Mr Andy Leather.

The appointment will be made within the Grade 6 scale, £33,070 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.  Benefits include an annual season ticket loan scheme and a final salary superannuation scheme.
