Abbreviations

The e-learning database contains elearning courses available via King’s Health Partner organisations, and also additional courses available to NHS staff nationally.

  • Searching across All organisations will retrieve all courses.
  • Selecting a specific organisation will retrieve courses which are currently used in that organisation. This includes both local and national courses.
  • Selecting additional national resources will retrieve courses which are available to NHS staff nationally, but which are not currently used by a King’s Health Partner organisation. National courses are available via the National Learning Management System (NLMS) or direct from the content provider - see details below.
  • Individual course records will indicate the content provider and access route for that particular course.

  • Connecting For Health (CfH) - NHS Connecting for Health’s Education, Training and Development (ETD) programme offers various e-Learning initiatives for NHS staff. For more information visit the ETD website: http://www.connectingforhealth.nhs.uk/systemsandservices/etd .
  • The Skills Academy for Health - Core Learning Unit (SAfH CLU) provides online eLearning programmes for NHS staff, particularly Statutory and Mandatory training. Registration is via their website at www.corelearningunit.com
  • e-Learning for Healthcare (e-LfH) - provide eLearning for NHS staff across a range of topics, including Workforce development content and Speciality training content. A list of projects is available from their website at www.e-lfh.org.uk
  • National Learning Management System (NLMS) is an eLearning platform, integrated with the Oracle Learning Management (OLM) module within the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) solution and is available for free to NHS organisations.
