KHP South East London Cancer Research Panel
South East London Cancer Research Panel (SELCRP) is a group of motivated patients, carers, clinical, non-clinical, and academic staff including research nurses. Patient representatives on the panel include people living with cancer, and the group is co-chaired by a panel member supported by the Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre Business Manager.
Ambi Williams, Research Manager for King’s Health Partners Comprehensive Cancer Centre, said:
We are grateful to the members who provide work on a voluntary basis. The panel provide rapid turnaround before regulatory submissions of trial and grant proposals.
We are proud that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, SELCRP has maintained monthly remote meetings, allowing our researchers, including those conducting COVID-19 related studies in cancer patients, to access rapid review throughout the public health emergency.
Research groups across King’s Health Partners have used SELCRP as a model to support their own set-up and management, with the panel offering advice on study design, dissemination strategies, and recruiting participants.
If you are interested in presenting to the group, please contact Ambi Williams at ambi.williams@kcl.ac.uk.
