King's Health Partners - Epilepsy in Intellectual Disabilities

King’s Health Partners Neurosciences and Oxleas NHS FT invite you to the third annual half-day masterclass, Friday 21 June, covering differential diagnosis, medication, and risk assessments.

The masterclass will enhance the clinical knowledge of professionals in Primary and Secondary Care in the diagnosis and treatment of Epilepsy in Intellectual Disabilities, and associated comorbidities as well as providing evidence-based information applicable to day-to-day clinical practice.

Lance WatkinsDr Lance Watkins, Consultant Psychiatrist and Epilepsy Pathway Lead, Epilepsy Specialist Service, Swansea Bay University Health Board. Differential Diagnosis: Dissociative Disorders, Psychogenic and Behavioural Presentations in Intellectual Disabilities.

Andy SmithMr Andy Smith, Epilepsy Nurse, Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. Risk Assessment in Intellectual Disabilities.

 

Shelley JonesMs Shelley Jones, Consultant Pharmacist, Neurosciences Team Leader, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Use of Newer Antiseizure Medication in Intellectual Disabilities. 

Tickets are £35.00 per person. Free places are available for colleagues within King’s Health Partners, Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, and Swansea Bay University Health Board.

Approved for three CPD points by the Royal College of Physicians.
