King’s College London is launching the next round of King’s Prize Fellowships.  These fellowships, supported by the Wellcome Trust and London Law Trust, are designed to support outstanding post-doctoral researchers to make the transition to independence. More specifically, they are intended to lead to successful applications for externally-funded fellowships (e.g. from MRC/Wellcome Trust/NIHR/charities); previous fellows have had considerable success here.

The fellowships offer 18-24 months of salary and a modest consumables budget, which may be supplemented locally if needed.  Both internal and external researchers can apply, although the importance of developing independence from existing supervisors should be emphasised, and external applicants are particularly encouraged.

The deadline for applications, via the King’s College London HireWire system, is 15 May.
