King’s Health Partners appoint new Managing Director

Jill Lockett has been appointed as Managing Director of King’s Health Partners Academic Health Sciences Centre (AHSC) and will begin in her new role on 1 February 2020.

Jill LockettIn this newly created position, Jill will work across the full King’s Health Partners agenda to deliver our next five-year strategy and oversee our local and international programmes, track progress and maintain our culture of partnership. As Managing Director, Jill will join the King’s Health Partners Joint Boards and continue to support Prof Sir Robert Lechler in his roles as Senior Vice President/Provost (Health) for King’s College London and Executive Director of King’s Health Partners.

Jill has worked at King’s Health Partners for seven years as Director of Performance and Delivery. This new role will strengthen the AHSC’s leadership team, as King’s Health Partners works through our Clinical Academic Groups, Institutes and programmes, to translate research into the best patient care even faster and in a more sustainable way, ensuring everything we do is informed by the latest technologies and that we continue to develop, train and attract the best staff.

Speaking about the appointment, Prof Sir Robert Lechler, Executive Director of King’s Health Partners, said:

This appointment recognises the significant contribution Jill has made to the work of King’s Health Partners over the last seven years and our future plans to develop closer relationships and integration with our partners and the health system, to deliver real benefit to our patients and communities.
2020 will be an exciting and important year for us as we are currently participating in the new competition for AHSCs, having submitted our application in December 2019, and are finalising our next five-year strategy.
