Programme Director for King’s Health Partners Haematology appointed

Jennifer Owen [pictured right] has been appointed as Programme Director of King’s Health Partners Haematology.

Jennifer Owen King’s Health Partners Haematology brings together our partnership’s strong and highly regarded haematology clinical services, alongside clinically focused research led by world-renowned academics and ensures our expertise and knowledge is shared globally through education and training. As Programme Director, Jennifer will be responsible for leading, planning, developing and managing the Institute’s overall programme and programme team.

Jennifer is currently Associate Director, Commercial, at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. She started her career as a Unilever graduate trainee and joined the NHS soon after. She has worked in a number of large teaching hospitals, including University College London Hospital and St. George’s University Hospital, and in a number of operational, commercial and programme roles. This includes being part of creating, transforming and running South West London Pathology.

Speaking about the appointment, Jill Lockett, Managing Director, King’s Health Partners, said:

After a strong partner led recruitment process, we are delighted to welcome Jennifer Owen as the new Programme Director for King’s Health Partners Haematology. Jennifer joins us from South London and Maudsley where her role was Associate Director for Commercial, and those of us who have worked with Jennifer will know that we will benefit immensely from her brilliant and insightful approach. Jennifer has a vast range of operational, commercial and programme experience working within the NHS, which I’m confident will steer our Haematology Institute to become world-class.

Following her appointment, Jennifer said:
