King's Business School courses to help fill those knowledge gaps

If you are looking to broaden your expertise in 2022 and have made that New Year’s Resolution to invest in yourself, then read on.

King’s Business School has three short courses taking place in March, April and May that could fill the gaps in your knowledge, in the areas of emotional intelligence for leaders, finance and marketing. And, King’s Health Partners staff receive a 25% saving across all our executive programmes. Read more below.

Leading with EQ

The first of these programmes is Leading with EQ. This course will enable you to leverage the science of emotionally intelligent leadership to build high performing teams, resolve conflict and manage effectively.

Over and above IQ, Emotional Intelligence predicts capability and the success of individuals. It is much more than managing feelings or emotions; it encompasses empathy, social skills, self-awareness, self-regulation and motivation.

Adept leaders will recognise and manage both their own emotions and the emotions of others to reduce conflict, foster production working relationships and deliver organisation success. This programme is for everyone who wishes to progress in their career.

The individual coaching session is conducted virtually with the Course Director, where you will explore your self-assessment report in depth and discuss personalised next steps in your leadership journey. Hear from the Programme Director about the Programme.

Dates: Monday, 28th March (live virtual) & Friday, 1st April (In-person) plus a coaching session mid-week

Strategic Marketing

The second of our short courses is Strategic Marketing. In this age of rapid transformations, executives need to constantly deal with complex and dynamic issues. Recognising, analysing and solving these issues requires an informed strategic sense of where markets are heading.

This understanding of markets, products, competitors and customers is not just the remit of the marketers. Any senior manager playing a significant role in business performance now needs to develop a strategic marketing mind-set to play a full part in delivering organisational success.

You may not currently have an oversight of marketing, but an awareness of this function will be key to your understanding of the whole of your organisation in the future.

Hear from Michael Hughes – Head of Portfolio Marketing at King’s College London about the benefits for him of attending this programme and other Alumni.

Dates 4th – 8th April, 2022 – Delivered in person

Finally, we have the Finance for Non-Financial Leaders programme. This is for everyone who has to understand, interpret and deliver budgets and financial figures at board level and below.

King's Business School classroomIt is one of the most under-supported functions. If you have not worked in a finance function but as you have moved up the ladder had to understand profit and loss and present on budgets, then this is for you.

In April this programme will be delivered virtually and will act as an important bridge between executives’ financial understanding and their influence on internal and external partners and stakeholders.

This is an intensive short course offering ideas, insights, and lessons from practices to enhance executive and organisational capabilities in the area of, financial communication and business partners.
