Hugely popular ‘Meet the Expert’ returns for another series

‘Global, clinical seminar series’ continues to bring together clinicians and academics from around the world.

Early in 2020 Prof Francesco Dazzi, Vice Dean (International) and Head of Regenerative Medicine, King’s College London, proposed an idea for a new online webinar to Prof Anne Greenough, King’s Health Partners, Director of Education and Training. Initially organised to share experiences of treating patients with COVID-19, the remit of the series has grown to include key topics across specialties and academia from around the globe. Topics included;  ‘Cell-based cardiac repair for heart failure’ from Paris, ‘Improving care for children with acute kidney injury’ from Cincinnati, ‘Sepsis - a poorly recognised global health threat’ from Berlin, ‘Diabetic retinopathy’ from Barcelona, ‘Future directions for treating psychosis in young individuals’ from Ontario, ‘Lessons from the pandemic’ from India. Meet the Expert 2021

Almost 2 years, 62 webinars and 4,912 views later, the collaboration with the European University Hospital Alliance (EUHA) to jointly host the “Meet the expert” - global, clinical seminar series continues to draw an array of clinicians and academics to share their experience and knowledge with staff and students across King’s Health Partners. 

The successful format of 15 minutes for presentations and 15 minutes to answer questions, works with colleagues' busy schedules and all sessions are available on our Learning Hub, free for staff and students across King’s Health Partners (once you have followed the steps to add the series to your ‘basket’, you will have access to all previous sessions).

The spring series, of weekly webinars, starts on 1st February 2022 at 1pm.  Professor Alberto Sanchez-Fueyo, Professor of Hepatology, Academic Director of the Institute of Liver Studies, King's College London, will present on ‘Immunosuppression-free organ transplantation’ with Professor Sir Robert Lechler, Emeritus Professor and Co-Chair of SC1 life sciences cluster, leading the discussion.  Click here for more information and to join the seminar.
