It means you can access learning and development courses online, at any time, to help boost your career and potential. The Learning Hub hosts recordings of many of KHP’s virtual events and provides a variety of e-learning resources.

Our Haematology, Neurosciences, and Women and Children’s Health Clinical Academic Partnerships have developed a number of helpful courses for medical professionals to expand their skills and learn about the latest developments in their fields. Here are some of the latest courses:

Acute Sickle Cell Disease in adults

This module covers some acute complications of Sickle Cell Disease that you may come across and how to manage them in the acute setting. The resource is aimed at doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and students and aims to provide a general overview of clinical features and management of acute complications of sickle cell disease. At the end of this module, participants should:

  1. Be aware of acute complications of sickle cell disease;
  2. Understand how to manage patient presenting with an acute painful episode; and
  3. Be familiar with initial management of other acute complications of sickle cell disease.

Neurorehabilitation lunchtime seminar series

This seminar series provides healthcare professionals with learning about developments and innovations in neurorehabilitation from research to clinical practice. You will hear from a multidisciplinary team consisting of clinicians and academics who have extensive experience in neurorehabilitation services and driving change in their field.

Paediatric Simulation Training – Virtual Communication study days

This course is intended for Post-graduate Paediatric doctors. Designed to provide skilled practice in challenging communications scenarios experienced in paediatrics; to improve the communication skills of paediatric doctors in training.

This half-day training, developed by the London School of Paediatrics, is being offered to non-training grade paediatric doctors, including international medical graduates at Guy’s and St Thomas’, and King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts. The course is designed to provide participants with more experience in challenging communications scenarios experienced in paediatrics.
