The faculty for the Executive Fellowship in Leadership contribute a wide range of real-world med tech, entrepreneurship, and leadership expertise to the programme. 

Profile image of Prof Prokar Dasgupta OBEProf Prokar Dasgupta OBE -  Prof Dasgupta has worked within the King's Health partnership for more than 20 years. He leads the outstanding robotic surgery programme at King’s College London and fosters strong surgical innovation and research partnerships with NHS partners locally and globally. He is acknowledged as a leading educationalist, starting a successful BSc in surgical science at KCL. 

A profile picture of Peter GogalniceanuPeter Gogalniceanu - Peter Gogalniceanu is a consultant transplant and vascular access surgeon at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. He is also a senior clinical lecturer at King's College London and a faculty member of the simulation and interactive learning (SaIL) centre at Guy's and St Thomas'. Peter's work focuses on a just culture and the translation of performance tools from safety-critical professions to healthcare.

She was Director of Medical Education (Deputy Medical Director) for 12 years at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest under and post graduate training institutions in the country. 

A profile photo of Professor Sebastien OurselinProfessor Sebastien Ourselin - Professor Sebastien Ourselin FREng, is Head of the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences at King’s College London. He is also Director of the Wellcome/EPSRC Centre for Medical Engineering and Deputy Director of the London Medical Imaging and Artificial Intelligence Centre for Value Based Healthcare.

A profile photo of Mr Jonathan ShapeyMr Jonathan Shapey - Jonathan Shapey is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at King’s College London and an Honorary Consultant Neurosurgeon with a specialist interest in pituitary and skull base neurosurgery at King’s College Hospital. Jonathan’s research is focused on the translational development of innovative healthcare engineering solutions for neurosurgery.

He is one of our most experienced consultants at LBO, having been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at King’s College Hospital, London, since 1996. He is currently Joint CAG Leader for Trauma and Orthopaedics, Kings Health Partners.

A profile picture of Miss Kay ThomasMiss Kay Thomas - Kay Thomas has been a consultant at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust since 2006. Kay is an expert in the endoscopic management of bladder cancer. Her specialist interests include: Endourology (minimally invasive surgery) and stone disease; Cystinuria; and Endoscopic management of transitional cell carcinoma.

A profile photo of Mr Rajesh NairMr Raj Nair - Rajesh Nair has been a consultant urological surgeon at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust since 2017.Rajesh cares for people with all urological cancers. He performs a range of diagnostic and surgical treatments for bladder, kidney and upper tract urothelial cancer.

Requirements:

  • Completed application form: This includes your supporting statement which responds to the two questions below, 

1) Why would you like to be considered for this fellowship and what are your post-programme goals? (500 words)

2) What project ideas are you bringing to the programme – clinical and entrepreneurial? (300 words)

  • Curriculum vitae/résumé: This should include a list of awards or publications. 
  • Letter of recommendation: This should be provided by your clinical supervisor/Head of Department, showing their support for you to undertake the fellowship and how this will be financed (if they are supporting this).
