This KHP primary care webinar will focus on the health needs of migrant populations. The session will firstly introduce aspects that are important when considering health screening for communicable diseases in different populations. Our expert speakers will then focus on two common scenarios - unexplained eosinophilia, in light of recent new guidelines, and Chagas’ Disease in Latin American migrants, with a general overview of the clinical picture.

  • Dr Victoria Allen, Specialist Registrar in Infectious Diseases and NIHR Doctoral Fellow, King’s College London.
  • Dr Geraldine O’Hara, Infectious Diseases Consultant, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS FT, and co-author of the new UK guidelines for investigating eosinophilia in returning travellers and migrants.
  • Dr Rodrigo Ville, Mexican Infectious Diseases Specialist with expertise in Chagas Disease and experience with MSF working with Latin American migrants.

This will be an online event and the session will be recorded for later viewing on the King's Health Partners learning hub.
