Join us, for the first of a series of events bringing together the paediatrics and child health research community. This is an opportunity to meet colleagues and join cross-disciplinary discussions about working together to improve children and young people’s health.

- What: Half-day KCL Child Health Research event
- Who: This event is for anyone and everyone whose research includes or focusses on children and young people’s health
- Why: Connect with colleagues working in paediatrics and children and young people’s health, across the University’s Faculties and Schools, NHS, and wider community
In this half-day event, we intend to showcase three diverse examples where research has had an impact on child health. The agenda will begin with a networking lunch, followed by three talks, and workshop sessions.
Speakers:
- Prof Anil Dhawan – Cellular Therapy in Liver Disease
- Dr Vicky Slonims – How do we work with families to create an evidence base for personalised care for children and young people with autism and intellectual disability?
- Dr Harriet Boulding – Achieving policy impact from child health research.
Workshop sessions will focus on:
- Connecting with communities
- Population and public health
- Health data

Paediatric research seminar series
The Paediatric Research Seminar Series is hosted by King’s Health Partners Women and Children’s Health Clinical Academic Partnership in collaboration with the British Association for Child and Adolescent Public Health. Through this series, we aim to highlight current topics in paediatrics, and highlight how research underway in KHP that spans the research translation pathway relates to the wider policy landscape.
The paediatric research seminars run monthly, on first Thursday of the month, 4-5pm. Register via our event listings.

Skills clinics
The KHP Women and Children’s Health team host monthly research skills clinics for colleagues across all disciplines working in paediatrics at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Evelina London. The series aims to highlight research support available for colleagues across KHP.
