The KHP Centre for Translational Medicine (CTM) is excited to share the provisional timeline for the upcoming funding calls in 2025-26. Updates and detailed guidance for each call will be updated on the CTM website when the applications open.
The CTM aims to fund research which sits in the early stages of translational research. These funding seeks to support applicants to develop and deliver on projects in translational clinical research, particularly studies of disease mechanisms in humans and the translation of these insights into early detection and interventions. This includes use of diagnostics and devices, patient-reported outcome measures, and the development of proof of concepts, such as through early phase clinical studies of new treatments and development of advanced therapies.
Applications to all our funding calls are assessed based on:
- Track record of the candidate;
- Quality of the research project;
- Alignment with the strategic research priorities across KHP;
- How the funding will support applicant’s clinical academic career;
- How the research will seek to reduce health inequity;
- Strength of the Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) plans.
